I didn't like/missed/was perturbed by ...

Doza, accidently pissed him off. Said wrong thing, all my fault.

I listened to ...
Coldplay... I used to rule the world, seas will rise when I gave the word.... woof.

My flat is ...
not my flat any more.

We ate ... that was really yummy!
have given up on food... only eat cheese and shakes these days.
have you ever read something that absolutely changed your life? I did recently. It fucking freaked me out. I have never read a treatise on law and morals which spun me around and actually turned me inside out. We all know my morals aren't up to scratch really - but seriously, this shocked me, made me feel sick, pushed me down and then kicked me. scraped flesh off my bones actually.
And after that it warmed me, bathed me in words, rebuilt and refreshed me.
Thank you Helen Garner,
I had no idea what Consolation really meant till now. What a beautiful piece of writing.

Whisky is for idiots (or don't party with the Irish)

YAY! A new blog. Fresh start. New stationary. All of that!
I went to my lovely friend Van Badham (playwright extraordinaire) 's film premiere last night. She won a competition run by Jamiesons and got her film Octopus produced. It will be screened at Tropfest. Van is the only person I know who can get away with making a film about a woman who falls in love with an Octopus. Its fantastic, check it out!
I thought I was safe from the copious free drinks because I hate whisky. Alas. The slimy bastards have invented some kind of tasty cocktail made out if it which I actually liked. Then we partied on at the afterparty on Oxford st and I ended up meeting some of the Jamiesons people including the CEO (who were Irish) and they introduced me to more whisky cocktails. By that stage anything would have tasted nice.
Today I feel terrible. Damn Irish.
Roll on the weekend xxx
